Special Publication on the 60th Anniversary of Malta-India Diplomatic Relations published in New Delhi

The High Commission of Malta in New Delhi, India is proud to inform that after having  collaborated with the Indian Council for World Affairs ( ICWA ) on the production of a publication on the 60th Anniversary of Malta-India Diplomatic Relations, the publication was issued in October 2025.

This special publication, which was commissioned by the Indian Council of World Affairs includes messages from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism of Malta Hon. Dr. Ian Borg and External Affairs Minister of India Hon. Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. This publication was propelled by the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Tourism of the Republic of Malta, Mr Christopher Cutajar.

The book has a foreward by Director General and Additional Secretary in the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) Ms. Nutan Kapoor Mahawar and contributions by the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Tourism Mr Christopher Cutajar, the High Commissioner of Malta to India H.E. Mr Reuben Gauci and the High Commissioner of India to Malta H.E. Ms Gloria Gangte . Other valuable contributions can be found in the publication by military historians, scholars, practitioners, a Maltese Missionary, two former High Commissioners of Malta and of India,  and current and former diplomats.

Also, as part of the 60th Anniversary of Malta-India Diplomatic Relations celebrations, the High Commissioner of Malta to India. H.E. Mr Reuben Gauci travelled from New Delhi  to the Indian city of Bangalore to deliver a lecture on the subject at the University of Bangalore on 17 October 2025.
