With the support of Investia, Marmonil, Methode Electronics and the Malta Tourism Authority, Ambassador Pace today hosted a reception at the Jayda Terrace, Conrad Hotel, Cairo to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Independence of Malta. The event’s special guest was H.E. Capt. Sameh El Hafny, the recently appointed Minister of Civil Aviation, together with senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, members of the diplomatic corps, the Honorary Consul of Malta Suez, the business community, religious persons as well as members of the Maltese diaspora resident in Egypt. Other distinguished guests included H.E. Mr. Zahi Hawass, former Minister of State for Antiquities Affairs and H.E. Sen. Hazem Omar, Head of the Republican People’s party and former Chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee.
