On 21 March 2018 Ambassador Sarsero paid a courtesy visit to H.R.H. Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Riyadh. During the meeting both sides discussed the ongoing extensive development being undertaken in the city of Riyadh particularly the metro project and other ongoing infrastructural works. A cordial exchange followed on a number of issues of common interest ranging from Malta’s geopolitical location at the centre of the Mediterranean to the current economic and social reforms in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ambassador Sarsero briefed the Governor of Malta’s strong economic growth and expressed confidence that the long-standing bilateral relations dating back to 1975 will continue to be enhanced and deepened even further.
