Ambassador Vanni Xuereb Presents Letters of Credence as in Brussels and in Luxembourg

On March 5, 2025, His Excellency Dr Vanni Xuereb formally presented his Letters of Credence as Ambassador of Malta to the Kingdom of Belgium to His Majesty Philippe, King of the Belgians. The ceremony took place at the Royal Palace in Brussels.

Following the ceremony, Ambassador Xuereb was received in a private audience by King Philippe, during which the strong and enduring ties between Malta and Belgium, which have flourished for nearly six decades, were reaffirmed. They also discussed potential areas for further collaboration. King Philippe congratulated Ambassador Xuereb on his appointment and expressed his hopes for the continued strengthening of bilateral relations.

Ambassador Xuereb was accompanied by his Deputy Head of Mission and Consul, Mr Sylvan Borg. Upon arrival at the Royal Palace, the Maltese delegation was received by a Guard of Honour.

On March 20, 2025, Ambassador Xuereb formally presented his Letters of Credence as Ambassador of Malta to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg His Royal Highness Prince Guillaume. The ceremony took place at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg City.

During a private audience following the ceremony, Ambassador Xuereb and His Royal Highness reaffirmed the strong bilateral relations between Malta and Luxembourg, rooted in longstanding cooperation and shared characteristics as two of the smallest EU Member States. They also explored opportunities for enhanced collaboration.

Ambassador Xuereb was accompanied by his spouse, Mr Charlo Baldacchino, and the Deputy Head of Mission and Consul, Mr Sylvan Borg.
