Ambassador of Malta in Moscow Leads National English Dictation in Moscow

Moscow, 10 April 2021 – on a beautiful Moscow spring afternoon the Ambassador of Malta to the Russian Federation, Pierre Clive Agius, joined other personalities in conducting the annual Тотальный диктант в 2021 году (read totalny diktat 2021) or as translated in Total Dictation.

This is a free event held annually all over the Russian Federation, where any one can sit for a dictation in English language.  This year the dictation was an excerpt from the interesting book Metro 2033 by the Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky.  

Among the personalities who participated in this 2021 Total Dictation where Russian television stars, famous actors and musicians.  Asked about his interest in this event, Ambassador Agius replied that this was normal given that the English language is an official language in Malta.  Malta in fact, he added, is a leading destination for Russian students to learn English.  Ambassador Agius expressed his confidence that the Russian students will be able to return to Malta to learn English in a most enjoyable and friendly environment.
