Embassy of Malta in the Russian Federation

Diplomatic relations between Malta and the then Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) were established on 26 July 1967.

The Embassy’s main task is to represent Malta and the Maltese government in the Russian Federation, but also to promote Maltese interests. In doing so, the Embassy seeks to foster and strengthen the political, economic, and commercial relations between the two countries.  It also works to promote other areas of cooperation such as in health, youth cooperation, education, sports and in culture.

Through its Consulate, the Embassy also provides consular services to Maltese nationals in Russia and visa services to those who wish to visit Malta.
