The Consulate General of Malta in New York provides consular services and performs commercial, trade and cultural promotion in the area of jurisdiction comprising of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island.

The services provided range from Maltese citizenship by descent applications; registration of life events; processing of Maltese passport applications; processing and issuing of Schengen Visas for short-stay visits up to 90 days; authentication of documents (including Powers of Attorney, Life Certificates, etc.).

The mission of the Consulate General of Malta in New York also extends to fostering more quality connections on commercial, academic and cultural exchanges between entities and individuals in the host country and in Malta. We also proudly support the initiatives of the local Maltese Community in New York, the Tri-State Area and beyond. The Consulate General in New York also supports the Consulate within the Embassy of Malta to the United States of America, on a multitude of initiatives, including Consul-On-The-Move visits as prescribed by the said diplomatic representation.
