Presentation of books to Maynooth Education Campus

22/11/2018

On 8 November 2018, Ms Rachel Schembri – Head, Quality Assurance at the National Literacy Agency – presented a number of books on the Maltese language to Maynooth Education Campus in Co. Kildare, Ireland.

This initiative resulted following a previous visit to the Campus by the Maltese Ambassador to Ireland, H E Mr Leonard Sacco, for the launch of an exhibition on Malta, when the Ambassador was informed that Maynooth Post-Primary School was organising lessons in the Maltese language. The Ambassador promised the Embassy’s assistance in procuring further resources and the Ministry of Education and Employment in Malta, through the National Literacy Agency, identified a number of suitable books for the students.

Mr Johnny Nevin, Principal of the School, welcomed the Ambassador and Ms Schembri and thanked the Maltese authorities for the presentation.”

The attached photo shows Ms Schembri addressing the School officials and students before the presentation in the presence of the Ambassador.
