Malta Embassy Tunis participates in 2017 Diplomatic Bazaar

01/12/2017

On 19th November 2017, the Embassy of Malta in Tunis participated in the 2017 edition of the Diplomatic Bazaar, held at the exhibition centre in Le Kram, which is the main exhibition centre in Tunis Tunis. This year’s event was dedicated to raise funds for charities assisting persons in need. This year’s event gathered together over 30 diplomatic Missions in Tunis from all over the world, with proceeds going to the selected charities. The event attracted strong participation from the public and it is estimated that up to 4000 visited the Bazaar.

The Embassy of Malta made available a number of Maltese products for sale, including a limited selection of Maltese wines. We are pleased to note that these products garnered significant interest, including from the host of the event, Mrs. Jhinaoui, spouse of the Tunisian Foreign Minister, who also purchased an item from Malta’s stand. In total, Malta’s stand collected 600 Dinars.

We would also like to thank Air Malta for their assistance in preparing for this event, including providing a free air ticket made available to the event’s raffle.

Ambassador Mark Pace, Counsellor Bernard Mifsud and other Embassy staff coordinated participation in this event.
