17/05/2019

Hundreds of visitors were welcomed at the Embassy of Malta in Washington DC during the Europe Union Open House day on Saturday 11 May.  The European Union delegation and all the 28 Member States opened their Embassy doors to the American public to promote cross-cultural exchanges and good tidings.

A photograph exhibition about World War II and US President Roosevelt’s visit to Malta was on display at the Embassy among other promotional material about Malta and Gozo. Ambassador Keith Azzopardi and all the staff at the Embassy, together with some members of the Maltese diaspora in Washington DC toured the visitors around the premises and made presentations about the exhibition on display as well as on the cultural and historical heritage of Malta.

The Malta Tourism Authority and Playmobil Malta kindly supported the Embassy, including by providing various give-away material.
