The Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of Malta has made a voluntary contribution of €50,000 to support the project “PEACE YP: Promoting Euro-Africa Cooperation to Enhance Youth Participation for Peace”, which is implemented by the European Centre for global interdependence and solidarity of the Council of Europe (“North-South Centre”), as well as to reduce the European Court of Human Rights backlog of well-founded cases.

The agreements were signed by Ambassador Lorenzo Vella, Permanent Representative of Malta to the Council of Europe, and Mr Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe on 12 December 2022.
