Embassy of Malta in the People’s Republic of China

Malta was one of the earliest Western countries to establish diplomatic relations with China on 31 January 1972. Relations are strong with over 60 agreements having been signed over the last decades. The Embassy ensures these strong relations are maintained, facilitating communication and visits of delegations between the two countries. It also seeks to expand tourism, cultural, trade and investment relations, and provides a wide array of consular services including through a Consulate General in Shanghai and Honorary Consulate in Hong Kong.
