Malta’s diplomatic relations with the Hellenic republic were established on 30th April 1966 and are anchored in their common membership in the European Union and their Mediterranean identity.

Malta and Greece are two friendly EU and neighbouring Mediterranean countries which enjoy excellent bilateral relations. The Embassy’s objective is to strengthen the diplomatic, political, commercial/trade, shipping, cultural, and people-to-people ties between Malta and Greece, as well as promoting new niches of investment opportunities for both countries with the relevant stakeholders.
