On 17th February 2021, H.E. Ambassador Carmel Vassallo presented his Letter of Credence to H.E. David Beasley, the Executive Director of the World Food Programme (WFP). The brief ceremony was held virtually in view of current Covid-19 related restrictions. Ambassador Vassallo, in his capacity of Permanent Representative of Malta to the World Food Programme, had a brief exchange of views on Malta’s collaboration and support of WFP with Executive Director Beasley. In this regard, it was agreed to revert on such collaboration in the coming weeks. In conclusion, Executive Director Beasley invited the Ambassador to visit the World Food Programme Headquarters in Rome when possible. The Ambassador accepted this invitation and looked forward to the visit.
