19/05/2026

Following the successful visit to Malta earlier this April by the members of the Saudi-Maltese Business Council, H.E. Mr. Roberto Pace, Ambassador-Designate of Malta to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today hosted the same members for a luncheon at his residence in the Diplomatic Quarter in honour of the signing and establishment of the Saudi-Maltese Business Council.

The delegation was led by Prof. Abdulhadi Alhababi, Chairperson of the Saudi side of the Business Council, who briefed Ambassador-Designate Pace about the members’ visit to Malta and discussed next steps. On his part, Ambassador-Designate Pace thanked his counterpart H.R.H. Prince Faisal bin Sattam bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Malta, and his team for their invaluable support to make this visit happen, as well as for the efforts of Mr. Zachary Borg, the Government of Malta’s Envoy to the Gulf, who organised the visit and provided logistical support to both the Royal Saudi Embassy in Rome as well as to the members of the Saudi-Maltese Business Council.

Ambassador Pace was accompanied by Mr. James Gauci, Deputy Head of Mission and Consul.
