Her Excellency, Fiona-Jayne Formosa, Ambassador of the Republic of Malta, presented her Letters of Credence to President Michael D. Higgins at Áras an Uachtaráin on 4 March 2025.Mr. Patrick O’Donovan, T.D., Minister Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media was in attendance, representing the Irish Government.

Ambassador Formosa has served various roles within the Ministry responsible for Foreign Affairs, notably as Permanent Secretary between 2014-2020 and overseas at the Maltese Missions in Athens and Toronto and as non-resident Ambassador to Turkey.
