Claudia Gauci, a Maltese poet and translator, has participated in the 12th edition of the Euro-Maghrebi writers’ festival. This festival is being held between the 16th of February and the 16th of March. This edition of the festival is being held for the first time online due to restrictions on travel to Algeria. During this online dialogue, the Maltese poet Ms. Gauci and the Algerian poet Lamis Saidi answered each other’s questions in relation to poetry and how lifetime experiences are reflected in their works.

The Consulate of Malta in Algeria worked closely with the Delegation of the European Union in Algeria and the Algerian cultural association Vivarium to allow this first participation of a Maltese artist in a cultural activity in Algeria to become a reality.
