The Ambassador of Malta to Spain Dr Vanni Xuereb and his spouse Mr Charlò Baldacchino hosted members of the Maltese community in Spain and their families to an event to mark the Christmas festivities. The event, held on January 5 at the Ambassador’s residence in Madrid, coincided with the Cabalagata de los Reyes Magos – an annual parade held in the Paseo de la Castellana, where the residence is located, to mark the feast of the Epiphany. The guests were able to view the parade from the balcony of the Ambassador’s residence. They also had the possibility to taste several food items associated with the Christmas period in Malta as well as in Spain which were prepared for the occasion by the Ambassador’s spouse. It was also an opportunity for Ambassador Xuereb, Mr Baldacchino and First Secretary Francesca D’Amato to exchange greetings with those present.
